Pulitzer Prize-winning American journalist and writer most widely known for authoring communism in Central and Eastern European countries. She graduated summa cum laude from Yale School in 1986. She gained the Pulitzer Award for General nonfiction in 2004 on her behalf book about the annals of Soviet function camps referred to as Gulags. She acquired two kids with Polish Foreign Minister, Radosław Sikorski, whom she wedded in 1992. She emerged under fire in ’09 2009 for condemning the arrest of Roman Polanski.
