Anita Darian

Well-known for her performances with both NY Philharmonic and the brand new York Town Opera, this achieved soprano vocalist can be remembered on her behalf portrayal of Woman Thiang in the 1960 NEW YORK Middle production of Richard Rodgers’ and Oscar Hammerstein’s The Ruler and We. After teaching at Philadelphia’s Curtis Institute of Music with New York’s Juilliard College, she performed with a fresh York-based ensemble known as the Sauter-Finegan jazz music group.
