Anita Borg

Known on her behalf work in neuro-scientific computer science, she urged the professions of other feminine computer scientists by founding the Institute for ladies and Technology and by beginning the Systers listserve for feminine programmers. In the first 1980s, she graduated from NY University having a Ph.D. in Pc Science. Her several scientific honors are the Association for Ladies in Computing’s exclusive Augusta Ada Lovelace Award, the Digital Frontier Basis Pioneer Award, as well as the Heinz Award. Elevated in Illinois, Hawaii, and Washington, she later on lived in NY, California, and Germany. She passed away of the mind tumor at age fifty-four. She founded a meeting series honoring fellow woman computer scientist Elegance Hopper, known as The Elegance Hopper Special event of Ladies in Computing.
