Biography

Spirit singer who earned a #1 R&B record with The Artwork of Like & Battle in 2007. She’s collaborated with a number of performers, including D’Angelo. Her initial musical knowledge was performing gospel music in cathedral. She performed using the R&B group The Series within the 1980s. She actually is a three-time Grammy Prize nominee, including for Greatest R&B Performance to get a duet with Betty Wright. She’s a daughter called Gemstone with her ex-husband Rodney Rock and a boy, Michael, with vocalist D’Angelo. She and Snoop Dogg collaborated on her behalf 2004 one “I Wanna Give thanks to Ya.”
