Well-known for his starring role in the initial London Western End theatrical production from the musical Mamma Mia!, he’s also significant for his performances in the soap operas Emmerdale and Coronation Road, as well for his use the Royal Shakespeare Firm. He trained on the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, a college set up by ex-Beatle Paul McCartney. He performed the component of Carl Bruner in the initial London staging of Ghost the Musical. He spent his early years in St. Helens, Britain. He and Douglas Hodge are both popular English stage stars.
