Andrej Sekera

Czech defender who debuted in the NHL using the Buffalo Sabres through the 2006-07 period. He spent seven periods in Buffalo, after that went on to try out for the Carolina Hurricanes, LA Kings and Edmonton Oilers. He performed for HC Dukla Trencin in Slovak Extraliga for just one period before signing up for Owen Sound Strike in the Ontario Hockey Group. He received the Utmost Kaminsky Trophy as the utmost excellent defender in the Ontario Hockey Group in 2006. He was created in the tiny city of Bojnice in central Slovakia. He was teammates with superstar Canadian middle Eric Staal in Carolina.
