Alice Notley

Arizona-born poet whose functions include Margaret & Dusty: Poems, Mysteries of Little Homes, and Grave of Light. On her behalf 2001 collection, Disobedience, she received the International Griffin Poetry Award. She graduated from Barnard University and eventually received her M.F.A. in the famed Iowa Authors’ Workshop. A Pulitzer Award nominee, she was the receiver of a LA Times Book Award. She wedded fellow poet Ted Berrigan while both had been surviving in Chicago. After Berrigan’s loss of life, Notley elevated her two kids in NEW YORK. Susan Howe is normally another prominent feminine poet.
