Russian plane engineer who led the introduction of the world’s 1st supersonic passenger aircraft. He studied in the Moscow Aviation Institute, generating his professorship in in 1964. His aircraft, the Tupolev Tu-144, produced its maiden voyage in Moscow 8 weeks prior to the Concorde. His dad Andrei Tupolev designed plane that broke a large number of globe records.
