Traditional musician known for his highly personal interpretations of Romantic-era composers. His debut at Carnegie Hall in 1968 like a single recitalist astonished everyone, departing many marveling on the strength and virtuosity of his piano playing. He retired to Morristown, NJ, where he helped restore the run-down Community Theatre into a well known performance location. He was wedded to American-born pianist Laryssa Krupa. She 1st noticed him perform when she was just 13. He was known for his mastery of such composers as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Franz Liszt.
