Scottish-born jazz and Dixieland musician remembered for his trumpet, cornet, and vocal performances. His recordings consist of Dixieland to Duke/The Melrose Folio and Music from the Mauve 10 years. As an adolescent, he used a group known as the Leith Sterling silver Band. He afterwards formed a favorite London jazz music group. He released a favorite one, “Tansy,” in 1961. He was raised in Edinburgh, Scotland and afterwards resolved in London, Britain. He and fellow trumpeter and vocalist Kenny Ball both performed within a large-scale 1963 music event kept at London’s Alexandra Palace.
