Alex Massie

Known best like a Washington, D.C.-structured correspondent for the Edinburgh newspaper The Scotsman, this well-known journalist also contributed libertarian politics commentary to articles in such publications as The LA Times, THE BRAND NEW Republic, as well as the Irish 3rd party. During his period at Trinity University, Dublin, he edited his school’s paper, the T.C.D. Miscellany, and was also a dynamic person in the debate group. He was a finalist for the 2012 Orwell Reward for politics journalism. He was raised in Perthshire, Scotland, where he went to a boarding college referred to as Glenalmond University. He and Scottish comedienne and article writer Janey Godley both produced frequent contributions towards the Scotsman.
