Alda Merini

Award-winning Italian poet whose work explored the intersection of insanity and creativity. She actually is particularly kept in mind for L’altra verita: Diario di una diversa, a 1986 poetic memoir. She started writing at a age and captured the interest of Giorgio Manganelli, Pier Paolo Pasolini, and additional Italian writers. She was limited to a mental organization for over ten years, from 1964. Her 1986 masterpiece, The Additional Truth: Diary of the Dropout, was influenced by this encounter. She was created in Milan, Italy, and she passed away in her house city at age seventy-eight. Her composing had an psychological, mystical bent and was affected by the task of Rainer Maria Rilke.
