American director who also appeared in screen as an actor and in back of the scenes being a screenwriter. He provides directed several brief movies including The Path from the Hound and Increase Danger. Beginning in 1912 he begun to appear in movies and it wasn’t until 1919 that he began to direct. Among that point, in 1916, he began to compose screenplays. He co-wrote the 1917 humor Football Madness and aimed the 1919 film serial The Lion Man. He was created in NY, NY and passed away in LA of pneumonia. His sibling William Russell also passed away of pneumonia just two weeks ahead of his death.
