Albert Collins

Blues guitarist who all used altered tunings and capo in his shows and whose profession was cut brief by liver cancer tumor. He was raised idolizing the organist Jimmy McGriff and, motivated by him, used the key pad. Nicknamed The Iceman, he documented several well-known albums and toured European countries, Canada, and Japan. His family members transferred from Leona, Tx to Houston when he was seven. He performed at Live Help ’95 alongside George Thorogood as well as the Destroyers.
