American economist who served as Chairman from the Federal government Reserve of america from 1987 to 2006. His memoir, entitled, Age Turbulence: Activities in a fresh World, was released in 2007. He graduated from NYU summa cum laude after learning the clarinet in the Juilliard College. Many contemporary economist think that the easy-money guidelines that he advertised during his tenure as Chairman from the Federal government Reserve was a respected reason behind the subprime home loan problems that rocked the overall economy in 2008. His parents had been Herbert Greenspan and Rose Goldsmith. In 1997, he wedded Andrea Mitchell. He was initially appointed Federal government Reserve chairman by Chief executive Ronald Reagan in August 1987.
