Biography

Oscar-nominated screenwriter, most well-known for penning 1937’s incarnation of the Star EXISTS. After graduating from the Virginia Armed forces Institute, he transferred to NY. He and Dorothy Parker had been a well-known Hollywood screenwriting duo for 30 years. He wedded the article writer and well-known wit Dorothy Parker in 1934. David O. Selznick created the acclaimed 1937 film “A Superstar exists,” which he composed.
