3-period MLB All-Star who starred in the outfield for 20 seasons and gathered 2,927 career strikes. He played soccer while participating in Stevens Point Instructors University in Wisconsin. He earned two direct batting game titles in the first 1930s. He previously a boy, John, along with his wife Doris before they divorced. He earned two Globe Series titles using the Philadelphia Athletics under renowned supervisor Connie Mack.
