Famous and controversial Japanese poet, writer, feminist, and pacifist who wrote between 20,000 and 50,000 poems. She actually is perhaps most widely known for an anti-war poem entitled “Kimi Shinitamou koto nakare” and released through the Russo-Japanese Battle. She went her vendor family’s yokan (chocolate) business starting at the early age of eleven. Her delivery name was Sho Ho; Akiko Yosano was her pencil name. She wedded literary editor Tekkan Yosano in 1901. She consequently gave delivery to thirteen kids. She was a literary modern of fellow Japanese writer Eji Yoshikawa.
