Addie Lucia Ballou

Poet, writer, suffragist, and Spiritualist known for such poetry selections as Driftwood as well as the Padre’s Desire. She spent the majority of her existence in Ohio and Wisconsin. She was created in Ohio as the 5th kid of Mary Eldredge Hart and Alexander Hamilton. She worked well through the Civil Battle era like a nurse for the Union Military. She wedded Albert Darius Ballou, with whom she consequently had five kids. Like Susan B. Anthony, she fought through the Nineteenth Hundred years for equal privileges and suffrage for ladies.
